Years ago I found a recipe I make several times a year and always a winner. It's been updated from the original version which if I remember correctly used Crisco.
Blueberry Boy Bait. The story of how it got its name is wonderful.
Very similar to your coffee cake recipe. Instead this makes a 9 x 13 sheet cake.
Ha! I just looked up the story behind Blueberry Boy Bait, a dessert I'd never heard of, and love it! Thanks for bringing a chuckle to my morning. Also, I think I need to track down the original recipe and make it!
Time to make these recipes with the blue berries from my neighbors yard. Only problem is which one to make first.
These recipes all sound delicious. I want to go blueberry picking.
Who among us hasn’t learned something from Nick? 💜
David, Thanks for this post. Our local blueberry farm is a bit late to have ripe berries, as it's been a strange spring/summer in upstate NY.
Hopefully next week,.🤞
We usually pick about 10 lbs that we freeze and use for pancakes, pies, muffins.
Your recipes will definitively be some I'll be trying--- especially the blueberry lemon bars.
Thank you.
David - you have been missed!
Welcome back!!!
(I was worried about you!)
Thank you, Penny!
